This paper is the result of research work wit hey postdoc Dr. Kil-Wan Ko and our collaborator Prof. Robert Kayen. We investigate a liquefaction case history study at a Quay Wall backfill at The Port of Kushiro in Hokkaido based on recently released data from the 2003 Mw8.3 Tokachi-Oki Earthquake. We approach this study using a new energy-based method.<\/p>\n
