The Nweke Research Group conducts research investigations in the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering. Our mission is to develop new seismic site effects models that incorporate geomorphological features and the associated variability, which improve the characterization of seismic demands and lead to resilient infrastructure designs. In addition, we are interested in the characterization of bio-cemented soils, understanding wildfires with respect to pre- and post- event evaluation and assessment, and exploring innovative post-hazard reconnaissance methodologies.
